Dr. Bruce graduated from the University of Idaho in 1972 and then the University of Oregon Dental School in 1976. He then went on to a General Practice Residency in 1977 at Denver General Hospital. He has practiced in Boise since that time.
Dr. Bruce has numerous professional affiliations, including membership in:
- American Dental Association
- Idaho State Dental Association
- Southwest Idaho Dental Society
- American College of Dentistry (Fellow)
- International College of Dentistry (Fellow)
- Pierre Fauchard Academy
Dr. Bruce is also very involved in organized dentistry; he has held multiple positions in the ADA, ISDA, and Delta Dental over the years. Some positions of distinction include:
- ADA 11th District Trustee (1998-2002)
- ADA delegate from Idaho (1995-1998)
- ISDA President (1993-1994)
- Delta Dental Plans of Idaho Board Member (1985-1992 & 2005)
Finally, Dr. Bruce has been an active part of the community, serving many worthy organizations. Some include St. Alphonsus Foundation Board Member, Idaho Salmon and Steelhead unlimited, Boise City Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and the Capitol Classic Children’s Race.
